James Cudjoe is a Ghanaian artist born in 1971. He completed his secondary education at St. John’s Secondary School, and continued an education at the Ghanatta College of Art. Currently living and working in Accra he has participated in multiple group exhibitions held in several of the city’s most prestigious venues.
In his work, he represents typical Ghanaian life interpreted at a fast-pace brushstroke; his blurred technique and ambiguous forms offer a vitality and briskness challenging the contemporary West African vision.
